0.9% benzyl alcohol diluent

Bacteriostatic water is sterile water containing 0.9% (9 mg/mL) benzyl alcohol as a bacteriostatic preservative. The preservative inhibits bacterial growth, allowing a sealed vial to be accessed multiple times during a research protocol.

It is the standard laboratory diluent for reconstituting lyophilized peptides such as those in the Darkside Labs catalog. Supplied in a sealed glass vial with a flip-off cap.
